For many years we have proudly represented Ametek Mansfield and Green force measurement equipment.  A number of years ago Ametek M&G took over the Chatillon range.  More recently, both companies have been merged into the U.S. Gauge division of Ametek.  Chatillon is now known as Ametek U.S. Gauge - Chatillon Brands.  Ametek is a highly formidable company and is well positioned to continue to offer quality, professionally developed and tested, force measurement equipment.

Mechanical & Digital Force Gauges

Our Chatillon® force gauges represent the industry standard for force measurement. We offer a complete selection of mechanical and digital force gauges for handheld and test stand applications. All Chatillon force gauges come with accessories, carrying case, instructions and a Certificate of Calibration with NIST data. Our new DF Series digital gauges come with uncertainty calculations per ISO/IEC 17025.

LG Series Mechanical Force Gauge 

The LG Series mechanical force gauge is ideal for a wide range of force testing applications.  Based on our popular DPP Series force gauge, the LG Series features a larger, 2.25 inch dial for improved resolution and readability, peak hold button, ergonomic shape and improved accuracy.  The LG gauge is an excellent, economical solution for tensile or compression testing. 

The durable, plastic housing fits naturally in the hand for a comfortable and firm grip even at maximum loads. Gauges may be mounted to a test stand for even greater control and consistent results in repetitive testing applications.  LG Series gauges come complete with protective carrying case and a set of stainless steel attachments.  A Certificate of Calibration with Data is supplied standard.

DFX II Series Digital Force Gauge

The CHATILLON® DFX Series is an economical digital force gauge ideal for applications where users are interested in basic peak force measurement. The DFX Series operates using a rechargeable NiMH battery pack and can operate using the supplied universal charger as well. Under battery operation, the DFX Series will operate for 70 to 100 hours of continuous use. A large, easy-to-read, high resolution dot matrix LCD display supports a variety of standard gauge functions including normal and peak readings.  The display language may be setup to indicate in English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Chinese.

The Chatillon DFX digital force gauge’s calibration procedure is included in the gauge’s setup. The DFX Series force gauges come with a carrying case, universal battery charger, flat and hook adapters. The DFX Series can also be supplied with an optional Certificate of Calibration with NIST data.

  DG Series Mechanical Force Gauge

The DG Series mechanical force gauge is ideal for a wide range of force testing applications up to 500lbf (2.5 kN).  Based on our popular DPPH Series force gauge, the DG Series features a larger, 2.25 inch dial for improved resolution and readability, peak hold button, durable plastic housing, universal mounting plate, ergonomic shape and improved accuracy of ±0.5% of full scale.  The DG gauge is an excellent, economical solution for tensile or compression testing.

The DG Series may be used as a hand-held device or equipped with an optional handle set for two-hand operation.  A peak hold switch captures peak readings and can be easily and quickly returned to zero and a mechanical overload feature protects the gauge from damage. The DG gauge comes complete with protective carrying case and a set of stainless steel attachments.  A Certificate of Calibration with NIST Data is supplied standard.

DFE II Series Digital Force Gauge

The DFE II Series marks a new era in digital force measurement.  This compact, easy-to-use force gauge is designed for economy applications without compromising functionality.  Ideal for hand-held or test stand applications.  The DFE Series is available with capacities from 2 lbf (10 N) to 500 lbf (2500 N). A large, easy-to-read, high resolution dot matrix LCD full colour display supports a variety of standard gauge functions including load cell actuation and direction with a measurement accuracy of better than 0.25% full scale. The display can be inverted and displayed results may be "hidden" from the operator.

The DFE II now also includes multiple language interfaces (English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Chinese). All DFE Series force gauges come with a carrying case, battery adaptor/charger, testing accessories and RS232 cable. The DFE II Series has analog, USB and RS232 serial communication.

DFS II Series Digital Force Gauge

The DFS II Series offers the best price performance of any digital force gauge available today.  This compact, easy-to-use force gauge is designed for basic and complex applications.  Ideal for hand-held or test stand applications, the DFS II may be equipped with integral loadcells or smart remote sensors for load measurement or torque measurement. 

A large, easy-to-read, high resolution, full colour dot matrix LCD display supports a variety of standard gauge functions. The display can be inverted and displayed results may be "hidden" from the operator. The DFS II offers password protection for gauge set ups. The gauge comes standard with an RS232 cable, carrying case, battery adaptor/charger and testing accessories. Supplied with Bluetooth capability for communications with the gauge as well as RS232 and USB communication capabilities.

Testers & Stands

The Chatillon® force test stands compliment the force gauges and supply you with precise load and extension measurement.  We offer a complete selection of mechanical, motorized, pneumatic and digital testers. We also offer material testers up to 1100 lbf (5kN) capacities, plus a line of spring testers.  Chatillon test stands may be mounted on a bench top and used in the laboratory, production floor, shop or office.

 

Mechanical Test Stands

The Chatillon MT-150 & MT-500 Series Mechanical Test Stands are an easy-to-use solution for force measurement applications. The test stands may be equipped with a quick-action lever or precision handwheel for controlling crosshead speed and travel. The stands can be bench mounted, wall mounted or positioned horizontally. Vertical clearances are available from 750mm (29.5 inch) up to 1500mm (60 inch). Standard stroke is 6 inches (150mm), although longer strokes can be accommodated as a special order.

The MT Series feature an innovative design that maximizes working space and simplifying operation and maintenance. The removal platen is designed to accommodate metric and imperial threaded fixtures. Special gauge adapter make gauge alignment automatic. Options include digital travel indicator, capable of displaying travel up to 0.01mm (0.0005 inch) and column ruler which is graduated in millimeters and inches.

Motorised Test Stands

The Chatillon LTCM-100 & LTCM-500 Series are economical motorised testers optimised for product floor operation. When combined with a Chatillon DF Series digital force gauge, it provides users with an easy-to-use testing system for tensile, compression, peel and flexural testing applications.

The LTCM Series features a large working area and 5-inch (130mm) throat ideal for learge sample sizes. Crosshead travel is controlled from a simple console or using an optional footswitch controller. Speed may be set from 0.2 to 20 in/min or 5 to 500mm/min. A digital display indicates the travel speed during a test. The return speed may be configured to automatically return at maximum speed. Mechanical deflection limits, located on the column face can be used to set travel limit setpoints. The crosshead will stop when either the upper or lower deflection limit is contacted.

The Chatillon CS Series digital force testers are revolutionary systems optimised for production testing applications, including medical devices, plastics, packaging, textiles, rubber and electronics to name a few. The CS Series has a 10.1" industrial-grade touch screen (IP65) that has been designed for easy continuous operation in a production environment. SOLUTIONS FOR ADVANCED FORCE AND MATERIAL TESTING

Chatillon® products use the exclusive Nexygen™ Series application software.  This Windows software makes automated testing and data analysis simple and efficient.  Nexygen software is OLE2 compatible so you can export information seamlessly to standard application software programs like WORD®, EXCEL®, ACCESS®, POWERPOINT® or OUTLOOK®.  Nexygen software was designed for testing professionals and used on the production floor, laboratory or office.  Chatillon offer packages for Force Gauge applications, Force Measurement applications and Material Testing applications.  All of Chatillon Nexygen products are ISO 9001 TickIT accredited.

  Force Gauge Application Software

The DF2 Wedge communication software replaces our previous Nexygen DF software and supports serial data communications between Chatillon DF2 Series force gauges and Microsoft Windows-based personal computers. Major improvements include; impressive new layout and user interface and compatibility with Windows® XP (with SP 3), Windows 7 & Windows 8.

Measurement data is sent from your gauge over an RS-232 serial connection, USB with auto-detect or Bluetooth with auto-detect to a Microsoft Excel® file on your personal computer. You can easily choose the exact data you want to transfer as well as how you want it to be transferred. And once your data is in Microsoft Excel, it can be edited, saved for documentation purposes, analysed and printed.

Force Measurement Application Software 

Nexygen™ TCD software is an extremely easy to use force measurement testing software package designed to integrate directly with TCD Series force testers.  The software is intuitive and allows the user to collect and analyse load and extension data from a common set of pre-configured test setups.  It features seamless OLE2 integration with MICROSOFT®, WORD® and EXCEL®, enabling the user to create detailed and comprehensive reports using common and familiar packages.  Developed with the user in mind, Nexygen TCD software is ideal for even the most inexperienced operator, minimizing training and allowing you to get up and running easily and quickly!

Software for Material Testing Applications

 Nexygen™ MT software provides a virtual testing laboratory.  The software offers a full compliment of testing categories with multiple test types within each category complying with industry and international testing standards.  Setups remain easy and users can fully configure a test using a menu driven approach that guides the in a logical, intuitive step-by-step manner.  Like the other Nexygen, Nexygen MT software presents test results in tabular and graphical formats.  Nexygen MT also provides enhanced security features and audit rail management facilities for applications requiring compliance with regulatory standards such as 21 CFR Part 11.  A unique video capturing feature is also provided so that you can record the test using a web camera and synchronise and embed the visual image with your testing data and graphical results.

A Security Module within Nexygen MT assists in achieving compliance with 21 CFR Part 11 by supplying enhanced security and audit trail management functions.  The Security Module requires Windows 2000 or Windows XP Operating System and can connect to a user-supplied secure database, Access 2000, SQL2000 or Oracle 9i.
